Help with watery homemade sauce! I made a batch of tomato sauce in the crockpot I'm guessing this is why it is watery but what can I do to thicken it before bottling? Could I transfer it to a pot and simmer to try and reduce it? Can you overcook tomato sauce?? Real amateur here! |

Bottling tomatoes like canned ones, Help please My partner wants to preserve tomatoes like what comes out of a can, Any advice or recipes please. We want to use these tomatoes just like canned ones e.g stews, pasta sauces, So they don't need a lot of spices added.Thank you |

Question re: preserving rings after several years languishing in the garage i decided to dig out my preserving jars and kit. to my dismay the preserving rings are coated in surface rust. are these still okay to use, even if i cleaned them up? sorry if this sounds like a stupid q.. |
