I would like an answer to that too please and thank you! I cant get the picture in my head of how the heck you roll it up if its wet! mmmmm sounds yummy though! Always looking for stuff to cook that husband and daughter can have in lunch box as buying lunches is too expensive and sammies and fruit just dont cut it!

Haven't tried that way but. you would need to add at least an extra 1/2 to 1 cup more flour to the mixture. Then sprinkle more flour on to a sheet of lunch paper or glad wrap to spread the scone mix well out onto. Next spread a layer or layers of whatever onto it and roll up to make a log. cut up like you would a French stick. Fairly thick slices. Lay flat to bake.

flowing free. I just pat them into a rectangular-ish shape and cut into squares. and for the scrolls. All I did was flatten mix as much as I could keeping it in that rectangular shape. spread some marmite on the mix then sprinkled cheese and rolled it up. then sliced them

can you use spread if you dont have butter. I only have Flora, or should I use oil or just wait until I get some butter! Thank you

Flora should be ok Butter is always the best taste. Probably not as good for us though. Anything in moderation is my rule. lol

Hi there - I am not the greatest of bakers and was watching the Nestle Baker of the Year the other night on TV and they were making scones.Scones as from most people that have done a post is not the one of the most successful things to make.So had a looksie on the internet and found this recipe.I have just made the recipe and am looking through the oven window watching them turn from something wet and sticky to absolutely delicious looking in 10mins.My mouth is watering and can't wait to get those puppies out of the oven and cooled down a little (just a little that is) to eat.It has been successful so far, so will let you know how they taste. But they smell delicious.I am making sultana scones but haven't put any sugar in them, will this make a difference? - Thanks ever so much for this BRILLIANT recipe...... will talk again soon......

Sorry to bring up the distant past, but being male, I'm going to surprise my beloved tonight with these when she walks in the door ... only ... "large cup" ... is that a heaped measuring cup? or is it a regular coffee cup off the shelf filled up, being more than a measured cup? Sorry if this Q? sounds confusing but I know exactly what I mean .... what is "large" please ?
Have to start baking in about 30 minutes ... so no pressure.
