SCONES Great to make when you are camping and have access to an electric frypan. 3C Self Raising flour salt 1TBs sugar 2 ozs butter 1 egg 1 Cup milk 2 ozs extra butter Mix dry ingredients together, make a well in centre and add beaten egg, milk and 2 oz melted butter. Turn on to a floured board knead lightly, roll out to 1 inch thick and cut into squares. Melt 1 oz of extra butter in frypan, add scones, cover and cook 5 mins. Add rest of butter, turn scones over and cook approx 5 more minutes. Frypan at 350 degrees or lower 275 depending on frypan. Shared from the GrownUps recipe site

Might make these at the weekend to go with some soup maybe Leek & potato!
