Had a lovely roast with pumpkin, broccoli (the last), cauli (the first of many) and some tiny sweet potatoes. The wwoofer was suitably impressed by the added roast onions and mushrooms.

Spaghetti bolognese made with pork mince (possibly not humanely bred), non-organic Barilla pasta from a packet, a jar of Leggos pasta sauce, with some added red capsicum and red onion fried in Homebrand non-virginal non-cold pressed olive oil followed by Weight Watchers lime jelly sweetened with aspartame (I think - writing was quite small so not sure about that)

elliehen, Dec 14, 11:34am
You ARE going straight to hell ;)

rainrain1, Dec 14, 6:39pm

Home made spring rolls.big ones. garden courgettes, sliced in half and grilled with luvly quality olive oil. naturally dried thyme.sea salt and ground black pepper. On a bed of rice with turmeric and peas mixed through. Another no brainer easy one.
The rain has finished and magic hot sun. says 30.1 degrees. so I went out and tweeted with the garden and fought a few weeds.dug up 4 agria spud plants and go a BUCKET to the brim full.nice easy wash for some baked spuds later in the week.and some real bigguns. so nice long chips to come.

sarahb5, Dec 15, 3:23am
Roast chicken, roast potatoes, broccoli and asparagus or peas depending on your preference, strawberries for dessert

elliehen, Dec 15, 5:38am
A favourite quick meal of garden salad with fresh hard-boiled farm eggs and hot chopped new potatoes stirred through.Only had to shake the greens because the Nelson rains have left them washed and sparkling.I think the tomatoes have grown a metre since the rain started and the tiny bunch of basil plants has turned into trees overnight ;)

ant_sonja, Dec 15, 5:41am
Home made potato croquets with basil and garlic, big salad, bacon & eggs :)

fisher, Dec 15, 10:17am
elliehenyes all my basil shot up.cut 2 thirds off each one including some buds and stripped the leaves off and into dehydrator for3 hours.into the ninja and chopped till fine and placed in jar to add to salads, over tomatoes and the like. Then got the parsley and did the same. now if only the mint would produce more.

uli, Dec 15, 5:05pm
Used to "dehydrate" with heaps of electricity too (Harvest Maid) - now I just bought a "dehumidifier" and put that into the dehydrator (huge affair)out on the deck - and it works a treat at 10% of the costs :)
