Believe me - they are really nice smoked :) And they are (nearly exactly) the same as smoked fish roe . (only that roe is the eggs - and mountain oysters are the sperm . or similar .)

lol. tell you a story of a guy that did get an eye full lmao. Its the laugh for this years docking season anyway. He went down for the bite and what do you thing poked him in the eye! So now, he gets called cock-eyed. He felt so stink he didnt even tell his wife. I did though. lol.

RABBIT CUSTARD PIE Stew 2 young rabbits till tender.Cut into joints, put best parts in pie dish.Beat 2 eggs, add 2 spoonfuls cream and 1 teacup stock from boiling rabbit, pepper and salt to taste, and 3 teacups milk.Pour over rabbit, sprinkle with chopped parsley, cover with puff pastry.Cook about 3/4 hour.Hot, or cold with salad.

Rabbit is great in the crockpot, especially if you do not know how old they are! Just use same sort of recipes you would for chicken.
