What can I use to thicken stew that has no starch

was going to suggest weetbix too, we had it at someones house and I couldnt believe that was what she was putting in to thicken the casserole we were having -what you dont know doesnt kill you! !

Pretty strange remark auckland_ali when poster #1 says she doesn't want to eat starch. I would not be happy if someone would put weetbix into my food despite my wishes, hoping I wouldn't notice ...

i use rice flour to thickendoesnt havelumpbut could have starch
in itwouldnt go back to using cornflour

Made a casserole over the weekend and thickened it with half a can of coconut cream and a couple of tablespoons of tomato paste- it was yum!

Spuds and pumpin or parsnip, natural thickeners that's all I use.

Using coconut flour, do you just sprinkle it on or mix with water first please?

Sprinkle it on a pinch at a time and stir well. Be cautious as it is very absorbent.
