Uses for Parmesan rinds? One of my books recommends adding these to stock when making however I am a tad nervous the flavor may be too strong. It does seem a shame though to throw these lovely (hard!) tasty things away. Any one use them in any stock, sauces etc? Or anything else?... |

Cottage/Shepherd's Pie Years ago I used to make a potato-topped dish using cooked and minced up lamb/mutton. I always thought it was called Shepherd's or Cottage Pie but all the recipes I find on google refer to using fresh mince. What was I making back then?! TIA. |

What's with the price of garlic? Why does New Zealand garlic cost so much more than garlic that comes from China. Today in Countdown I noticed that a bag of Chinese garlic costs $3.99 whereas the equivalent in New Zealand costs $19.95. I would have thought it would cost more to transport... |
