What temperature and for how long do you toast sesame seeds? In the oven or in a frypan?

In a dry frypan at a medium-low temp. Keep a good eye on them, as they burn fast!

And as soon as they are lightly coloured, remove them from the hot pan or they keep on browning, even when you remove it from the heat.

I use my cast iron frypan and they're toasted within seconds!I toast sunflower seeds in it too - they take a bit longer, but not much.

You can smell when seeds are ready too, and some start popping out of the pan!

Don't put them under the grill like I did the first time I toasted them. They catch fire very easily!
