Your TAKAKA OATY GINGER CRUNCH sounds like something my Mum might like as she's a ginger fan, thanks for that recipe.

Does anybody know how to recreate the Chicken Canneloni from Jagz cafe in Invercargill!

I've tried to make it at home but can't get the same flavor or textures.

Wonder if anyone has the Hell Pizza recipe for churros - yum - so good . would also love the black doris plum cake recipe from the bakery in Wellington who's name escapes me right now (Pandoro or something like that!)

katalin, inyour coffee recipe do you mean coffee granules or do you make a cup of really strong coffee and use that.thanks. just love anything with coffee in it.

winnie231, Aug 8, 3:56pm
korbo - I may be wrong this time, but from experience I think it would be made coffee . especially as half of it goes in the icing. Granules wouldn't dissolve properly with melted butter & icing sugar.

i'm after a thick caramel slice from rangiora bakery.it has a dark coconut base with thick caramel and melted chocolate on the top.

katalin2, Aug 10, 5:29am
I make a quarter cup of really strong coffee- but you could use coffee granules and dissolve them to get the required amount. Jo Segar recommends using Bushell's Coffee and Chicory essence ( comes in a bottle the size of a worcester sauce bottle so lasts for ages) in some of her recipes for a strong coffee kick- I sometimes use that, especially in the icing. It is one of my favourite slices:)

I have heard about the Rhubarb and Caramel Scones made at the Gypsy Kitchen in Strathmore Park, Wellington. Has anyone tried one of these, please ! I would like to know whether the caramel is in the scones or on the top and if anybody has the recipe I would love to have it.
