BBQ ideas desperately needed please

fibreartist, Mar 8, 11:56pm
We are vegetarians but have some big strong rugby types coming to do some work tomorrow & they want a BBQ.

They are bringing their own meat & BBQ (we don't have one) but any ideas as to what else I can give them? Apparently they love junk food so don't think ordinary healthy salads would go down very well.

So suggestions please

Bread, big pot of cooked potatoes, corn on the cob. Make a big coleslaw, if they don't like it they can lump it. Have the bread already buttered

Bread rolls, big bowl of coleslaw, another of bean salad and one of potato salad

Eggs and sliced onions cooked on the BBQ. Don't forget the sauce.

Thanks for the suggestions, have already got the Watties sauce! Will cook up some spuds & make a coleslaw, don't think they will go for a bean salad though. Better go & get some corn on the cob, hadn't even thought of that.

Hash browns always go down a treat. Fried rice with lots of 'stuff' thrown in and mixed with soya sauce. Good luck.

Sauce.
Bread.
Onions and/or mushrooms sauteed.
Chips and dip.
Beer.

Nothing else. They won't care about your salads.

Yes. And maybe since watermelon is quite reasonable at the moment, big slices of those.
