I have one that is still packed and the use by date is 23 sept. If I cook it now how long will it be ok to eat!

Once cooked and refrigerated I have eaten it within the week.

I usually use it within three days after cooking, but I imagine you could leave it longer! or I freeze it (cooked.)

Store it in the cooking liquid to keep moist, you can also freeze slices in the liquid,

Thanks for that. We are going away for a week and I like to take it with me cooked, so will cook it day before we go I guess.
