I want one for my birthday but the prices are pretty up there. It will mostly be used for mixing powdered milk but will also use it at times to puree veges we hate to make into ice cubes to add into meals.

Thanks.

Mine's a Braun. It's the best!

cautis, Jul 15, 3:49am
Hmm Braun didn't even come up in my search lol. Will make a note, thanks!

Just searched Noel Leeming, Bond and Bond, and Harvey Normans and none of them have Braun.

Maybe you can only buy them online.Mine was a gift.

Oh it's not a problem. Some of the others are brands I know and trust but I'll just leave it up to mum I think.

My Bamix died suddenly several years ago and I had to get whatever was available at the mall - a Breville Pro.I hated it to begin with as it's big and heavy-duty, but it has been totally reliable and I use it often. The mini-processor that comes with it is very handy too.

My son brought me a Kenwood, a couple of years ago, and I just love it, has lots of attachments too. But I know it was dear.

I just got a little old 'cheapy' from the Warehouse which does the job very well. They are also guaranteed for 2 yrs so I keep the receipt for replacement.

ayglepaygle, Jul 15, 7:44pm
I've got a Kenwood Tri Blade - it's great!

I have a Braun - I got it from Harvey Norman.

Make sure stainless steel so you can put straight into hot liquid.the plastic bases no good for this.

magenta, Jul 15, 11:46pm
Agree with bluecalico. Metal is best for hot liquids like soup.I have a Bamix which is years old and still does the job.

gilligee, Jul 16, 12:30am
My Kenwood is plastic and has no problem using straight off the boil. Why not!

nzhel, Jul 16, 1:32am
My 'cheapy' one doesn't mind hot liquid either - no problems so far!

My kenwood lasted 6 months I now have a Kitchen aid which is great

I don't think you can get Braun ones in NZ at present.I have one -it's about 10 years old and I love it.Can get them in Oz but believe not being imported here at the moment, I could be wrong.
