Is there a way to make bananas ripen quickly?

I have some here which I'm hoping to be able to use tomorrow to make banana cupcakes, but feel that they are not 'over-ripe' enough.Any ideas would be appreciated.

You could pop them in the freezer over night. Bring them out to thaw in the morning.

Ask your children to carry them in their schoolbags for a few hours. Should work a treat!

The fastest way is to put the bananas in a paper bag on the bench with an apple. Apples emit ethylene gases, which cause certain fruits (like pears and bananas) to ripen faster.

Hehe, I have memories of this - something I did when I was young :-)

Thanks bridget, I had an ideal that apples were involved. Have just popped them in a brown paper-bag.after having to search for one.and have put them aside until tomorrow afternoon.Thank you.
