Just wondered if brocolli can be frozen for use in winter when its quite expensive!and how do you do it! Thank you!

put it in boiling water for a couple of minutes then into airtight bags

I have been bringing a pot to the boil and dunking it for a minute or two then free-flowing it in the freezer on a tray before popping into bags.Yesterday I just cut up a head and poured boiling water over it in a 2l pyrex jug, sat it for a couple of minutes, drained it, refreshed with cold water then put in the salad spinner before popping into bags.Much, much quicker and hopefully, much the same.I've got a fair quantity in the freezer now - broccoli is one thing that grows well for me.
