I have a Waterford (made in Ireland) one, very similar to Le Creuset.Had it as a wedding gift (first time) so over 40 years ago.Brilliant.

You can get Le Creuset on Flybuys. I wouldn't be without my ones. Do all my cooking in them and saving my points for another casserole.

For the good Lord's sake, if you can do it, you won't regret it.I use mine so much, and it's fabulous for everything - casseroles, stews, macaroni cheese, fish pie. . .

no regret, my parents bought me one 18 years ago and I am constantly using it. and it looks just like new. I have been given a smaller pot but not as useful. My mum still has hers bought over fifty years ago .

I love mine. Have it in the same colour too.

I didn't pay full price, kirks ( in Wellington) regularly have them at half price. So saved up and purchased mine there.

You can get them at flybys ( around 1500 points) or a smaller one for around 1200 Pts
Love love love it.

Yeah I have one and they are better than slow cookers. I do love it and use it all the time however I have Chassuer brand which is cheaper than the Le Cruesset but the same thing.

I have Le Creuset, and the type that they sell at Stevens (at a fraction of the price) . I can tell no difference between the two,and I tend to use the Stevens one more often as it is bigger. The Le Creuest was my MILs and is now about 40 years old . still brilliant. The Stevens is about 6 years old,and as good as the day I bought it.:-)

I bought the lasagne dish, large casserole, frypan and large pot while in the UK.And then I was in a second hand shop one day and saw a complete set of pots for $150 and could not resist it.I love Le Creuset.

I was gifted on in London by a dear friend that was 1974 and it is still going strong. I am a chef and the copies are not nearly as good

I used my flybuys points to get mine. I love it and saving up the points to get more.

In my opinion, if you bought a cheaper but similar style as in the cast iron with enamel coating, you'd get the same results. It isn't the brand name that makes it a good method of cookery. I've seen lookalikes at Stevens and also the Chasseur brand at kitchen shops alongside Le Creuset. There's also the Lodge brand but they're about as dear as Le Creuset.

I found a fabulous cast iron casserole dish in the Sallies, it has bright orange enamel on the outside so I am guessing it is 70's, it cooks everything so quickly and so evenly.Last week I bought a Warehouse cast iron roasting dish for $40 and it is also fabulous, cooked the roast evenly and much faster than a standard roasting dish.I also have some very old cast iron frypans I bought 2nd hand which are also great.

I bought a few Le Creuset frying pans x 2, casserole dish and one pot while living in the UK they have a factory outlet. Was earning the pounds so it seemed really cheap at about $40 each.I have since bought the extra large one from a smith & caughey sale and love it.Remember you pay for what you get.these are so worth it.

I bought a Le Creuset large saucepan years ago and dont use it very often as i find everything sticks to the middle of the bottom, would love to know what i am doing wrong for that to happen. i also have a couple of terrine dishes which are great.

I've had one for over 30 years and I love it. I use it on the stove, in the oven and even on top of the freestanding fireplace during winter.I've roasted casseroled, souped and even made bread in it. It's fantastically useful and versatile and you won't regret getting one.
