Hi people,I bought some mussels in a tub on Wednesday.Can you tell me if they will be safe to eat tonight?I don't eat (or therefore buy) shellfish so am not clued up about them really.

They should have the use by date on them if they are in a tub.

They came in a sealed plastic bag with the tub inside lissy, so I have just unsealed it and had a look and it does have a use by sticker thanks!I am amazed though - it says Use by 10 April - I never knew they would have such a long shelf life!

they are marinated-so preserved!

Phew! As long as they went into the fridge fairly soon after purchasing, you should be fine
