I'm not a huge fan either, but I find it odd when people profess not to have even heard of these recipes... . fairy bread, lolly cake etc. Maybe they've been living in a kid-free environment ;)

While I ate it as a kid - I never heard it called fairy bread till later in life. I think it was just 100's and 1000's sammies ? ? More commonly on piklets, though. I remember the crunch!
