Came across a blog today which is also on FaceBook "Salad in a Jar"was very interested to see salad prepared for about a week's worth of lunches using the FoodSaver Vacuum Food Sealer/The salad is prepared into wide neck jars, air removed them stored in the fridge.Anyone else seen or does this?
I do have a vacuum sealer, but I've never seen the wide mouth jar attachment, when we lived 60k from town I did use it to vac pack whole lettuce as soon as I got home from the supermarket (only went monthly) and they would be fine for 2 weeks afterwards, also great for cakes to freeze and I can't really remember what else, I havn't used it for ages now.
