I love ham and mushy peas. My mother used to make them in winter. Sadly she has now passed away so can't make them anymore and I haven't made them because I think my family will have the same opinion as Kuaka. Lol

Sounds like when my grown children were little-they had Cheesy-Peas,where I lightly mashed the hot,cooked peas with a little grated cheese.Made them on request recently,for my oldest baby-he's 25!

I have to agree with you. Not my thing either. I like normal peas and best of all, picked young and straight off the plant eaten immediately and raw. Mmmm. Now that's a pea.

I sometimes cook frozen peas, drain & tip into processor then add good dollop cream cheese & a splash of mint sauce.Whizz away!Very nice with fish & chips.Enjoy!
