to get that gerkin taste that one gets from a supermarket bought jars do you have to pickle them. Is it just a cucumber taste if they arnt pickled?

If you want the taste from the ones you buy at the supermarket. . yes you have to pickle them. Vinegar, mustard seeds, dill etc give the ghurkin it's yummy taste!
