Want easy desserts for spontaneous shared meals! - make a pavlova or few, and freeze - can be served straight from the freezer as they don't freeze hard due to the sugar - or a slice or two can be cut off to serve and the rest returned to the freezer.

Cheesy garlic triangles Plain pizza base, spread very lightly with garlic paste and cover with grated mozzarella, cook until just golden, cut and serve straight away, can add other ingredients but we are garlic fetishist here lol.

CREAM CHEESE PINK SALMON ROLL UPS . I’ve never written this recipe down, just remembered over the years from a promotional Cream Cheese stand in a supermarket.A real crowd pleaser - not only looks more impressive than what it is, but tastes delish and simple to make!

250g Pottle of Cream Cheese (spreadable), 210g can Tin of Pink Salmon, squeeze of fresh lemon juice, ground pepper to taste. In a bowl flake salmon with fork and then combine all other ingredients – mix thoroughly.Place in refrigerator to rest for approx an hour (cont'd) .

(cont'd) . 1 Packet Sprout Combo (different coloured sprouts), Fresh loaf of Sandwich Sliced Molenberg Bread (Soy, Linseed & Calcium a favourite).

On a slice of bread spread mixture, place a fairly generous row of the sprout combo from one corner to the other (on the diagonal).Roll up as you would for asparagus of chicken rolls (to form a flute). An extra dollop of the mixture on the bread corner helps to secure it down in place.Cut diagonally in the middle to halve.Arrange on circular plate and sprinkle with a little chopped parsley.NB: The Sprout House, Wairarapa sprout combinations are the yummiest!Just a plug for my own backyard!

Angels on horseback Just roll up oysters in streaky bacon and secure with a toothpick. Bake in a hot oven for a few min or until the bacon is crisp and serve. I have also had these done with marinated mussles but it would be nicer with plain ones as the marinade tends to take over the flavour.
