We all enjoyed it, and I will be making it again, as I don't like dairy and found the flavour more to my liking. The bolognese sauce was tweaked to my tastes, and we only had Rosemary in the garden so that was used for the Bechamel sauce, instead of thyme.
Dairy free cheese is expensive, but it only uses a little (now to find other stuff to make with it) and I didn't find it melted that well, but wasn't sure how hot the oven should be (started with 170 fan).
Anyway, thought others might be interested and also have other ideas on recipes that usually have dairy in them.

I use Vegan recipes if I'm looking for Dairy free/lactose free. www.vegkitchen.com A lot from this website, some I modify for my needs as DH is supposed to be Gluten free.

Thanks for that, will have a look next week, and hpefully can find some other recipes to try. He now can't eat chicken, which stuffs me up as that is what we mainly eat.
I love trying new stuff, but sometimes find it hard to trust google recipes lol
