Absolutely. I do all the time. Comes out so tender and melt in the mouth. I just pop it in the oven at the end just to crisp it up.

I invert a small shallow dish on the bottom of my slow cooker, add a little water, just to the level of the dish ( keeping the meat clear of the water) balance the meat on top of the inverted dish and cook as you would normally use a slow cooker. The result is tender meat, that is not stewed and it's fabulous every time.

Yes :). I rub the lamb with oil, garlic and rosemary. Put some beef stock into the cooker just a small amount to around 1/4 of the roast (I don't ind it sitting in the stock). After cooked I pop it in a hot oven to brown up, I then add a pkt rich gravy mix and a cornflour/water mix to thicken. Turn the cooker up to high and cook for half an hour (while the meat rests) and pesto, you got gravy! If too much liquid i just pour some out or transfer it to a pot on the stove and reduce it down.
