Ditto me with McIntosh toffees. The malt ones are ok. It must be something they put in them because they're not as hard as the others!

I've resorted to this now for my sweet kick. I sprinkle sea salt flakes on top as soon as I've poured it into the dish. No more store-bought, tooth-breaking lollies for me and it makes enough to last for weeks! http://www.nigella.com/recipes/view/vanilla-fudge
