I want tto do some cooking classes here in Tauranga,ethnic preferably, Chinese Thai Indian, whatever, not vegetarian , ( I know 7th Day Mob do) . So suggestions please , I am not a complete novice , can certainly find my way around a kitchen , but want to learn different techniques , any time of day , doesn't matter to me I can generally arrange my day around the class time.

try the tauranga girls college. About every 6 months or so community classes are advertised for after hours. Same with Boys college. Usually things like clay work, cooking, languages, self defence etc. Possibly you could stretch to one on one lessons with someone like Belinda from Lemon Grass catering (she's very approachable and friendly - you could ask at least.)

It's been a long time since the colleges have done night classes. I don't think I have seen any others offered apart from the vegetarian ones. Good luck.

Ask at culinary council as well in Gate Pa they do cooking classes
