good to see the price come down a bit, but any one else find that it doesn't taste as good as what it use to

The "cheap" lamb being touted is probably unsold andunexported surplus -certainly frozen last spring and even last year.

We have just eaten one of the "cheap" lamb legs tonight, puchased from Pak N Save,,,,just divine sooo tender. I am not a really a meat eater but this was very tasty, pleased we bought it.

We had one of those from Pak N Savelast night - long slow roast seasoned with salt pepper and garlic- and it was one of the tastiest lamb roasts we've ever had. And it worked out at $9 a kilo - a real bargain, with lots left over for cold cuts this week. These vacuum packed lamb legs seemed tobe perfectly aged.

They are selling as fresh in some shops here in chch, so they haven't been frozen, maybe chilled ! And they are very good

The one we bought from Pak'n Save was much more tender and tastier than the ones we got from Countdown
