Our lot love sausage rolls with lots of garlic, onion and chilli (either fresh or minced).

I usually add some soft breadcrumbs, minced onion, grated carrot, chopped parsley, garlic & sage to my sausagemeat.Mix it together and use as filling. I always use homemade shortcrust pastry as we don't like the flaky or puff pastry, just our preference. Also, for a change, that filling makes nice wee pies too.

Put all together in a food processor, bread, onion, grated carrot, mixed herbs, salt and pepper, sausage meat, a bit of water, and blitz together, and use your choice of pastry, egg wash, can also sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
