as in tins for cakes etc.are the silicon ones better!or should I stick with the tins!Have just got a new oven and want to update and get all knew bakeware. Please tell me your favourite brands and if poss where to buy them.Thanks :O)
sorry eta :do the silicon ones taint the goodies with a rubbery taste!cause some i have come across definately have a rubbery odour
some of the cheap silicone seems to be be a bit suspect.But we use both silicone and metal in our cafe . Have found different things work best in each.(ie metal muffin tins give a crispier outside which I want sometimes.)

If buying silicon - buy ones with the metal surrounds.Thinks like loaf pans loose their shape when cooking.I'd never manage without my silicon mini muffin trays with metal surrounds - wiltshire I think.Check out jo seagars website for them.Expensive but oh so worth it.
