Bleeding Beetroot

I had a salad recently of Beetroot, Carrot & Radish (all raw I think) in a vinegar/vinagrette. Thinking about it now, the beetroot didn't 'bleed' all that much into the salad. Is there any way to treat my beetroot to the same effect!

Vinegar stops beetroot bleeding when you boil it.

Raw beetroot doesn't bleed.It will slightly colour the dressing but it won't affect the colour of the other salad ingredients.
Love raw beetroot in salads.Most people seem surprised that I use beetroot in salads.They just think of the boiled up variety which elliehen is referring to.

When you boil beetroot, always do it with the skin on and remove it when it is cooked. As for raw.sorry, dont know
