Based on last week, Esme must win.

ms_b, May 3, 6:20am
I agree Esme was clearly the best.

jimbob37, May 3, 8:25am
meow.there's certainly a bit of bitchiness in it!Or maybe that's the way they've cut and edited it.

m41, May 3, 8:27am
omg what a disater they are having tonight!

frier, May 3, 9:40am
Terrible, will not be viewing next week, my seven year old is a better baker!

duckmoon, May 3, 9:44am
Didn't roses mother tell her ' if you can't say something nice.'
And 'what goes around comes around!'

falcon-hell, May 3, 9:48am
rose did get her comeuppance-she thought she was the bees knees, lol, personally i didn't think any of them were much chop tonight-quite disappointing really.

datoofairy, May 3, 9:50am
I missed the ending, who went home please!

falcon-hell, May 3, 9:54am
rose went home tonight.

datoofairy, May 3, 9:57am
Was she the one with all the tattoo's, that was so sure she would win!If so, good job. She was really snarky.I didnt think her cake looked as bad as some of the others though. Maybe it tasted really bad!

sarahb5, May 3, 10:02am
Hers was the red velvet "21st birthday" cake wasn't it!Dean spat his into the bin and said it tasted of vegetable fat and not very nice at all - was quite funny watching her face when he was judging her effort. As "not what we ordered from the professional" as my daughter's 21st birthday cake was it certainly looked more like a birthday cake for a 21 year old than hers did - by the time I'd finished with it anyway!

datoofairy, May 3, 10:06am
Oh I wish I'd seen that! She was so nasty the way she laughed at that blonde lady.We had to go out at 8.15 so I missed it.I might have to see if its available on demand.

lodgelocum, May 3, 10:30am
Thought they were very poor home bakers tonight, not much cop tonight.Last years show had much better bakers.

tennisfanz, May 3, 10:47am
Ahh got to love that reality tv. Surely rose not as nasty as she came across. Perhaps they told a joke and it appeared she was laughing at blonde lady! Who knows what producers do to add spice.

fifie, May 3, 10:48am
Terrible show, still trying to workout how lemonade is a common ingredient in cupcakes. Maybe i picked that up wrong, it hasn't got the punch that last year's show had, host Colin isn't entertaining us the same lol.

duckmoon, May 3, 11:14am
The problem was not the bakers, but the two hour time limit.

Imagine the cakes if they had four hours to cook and present.

books4nz, May 3, 11:40am
They were able to make cupcakes or any small cake as well, so two hours for that size would give a reasonable amount of time for cooling and decorating.

gardie, May 3, 6:28pm
Bugger - that would put me out then, we owned a coffee shop 20 years ago!How on earth can they think that deems you to be more than a home baker!

falcon-hell, May 3, 7:10pm
and water too,i use milk in my cupcake so that would have stuffed me up.

willyow, May 3, 7:19pm
You'd spend your whole life vacuuming

mwood, May 3, 8:03pm
Nice to see Rose getting her biscuits LOL

whispalea, May 3, 8:39pm
Nowhere near as good as last seasons, and definately nastier. Though that might change with Rose gone. I thought that she was going to be one of the best, but unfortunately she didn't seem to be a very nice person.

shellie72, May 3, 8:47pm
Too many hipsters ;)

bedazzledjewels, May 3, 10:32pm
I wonder if the only reason Rose made it to the final group was because of her appearance and her mouth! That cake would have mortified any 21 year old! All pink and fluffy with the most basic of decoration.
The standard was really bad last night, although I did like Esme's effort and I liked the clean lines of the 50th anniversary cake too.
They shouldn't be allowed to make cupcakes as a celebration cake. They need to be showing skills with big cakes.

sarahb5, May 3, 10:43pm
Why not - I thought the pink cupcake creation for the 6 year old girly-girly met the brief perfectly - my daughter would've loved it at that age
