Has anyone tried any of the recipes on the show? I'm going to attempt the Chocolate Chunk Cookies. I don't have a big mixer to mix the dry ingredients slowly, so would it be ok to use a little hand beater on slow, would that upset the texture any or should i just use good old elbow grease to sort this problem. T. I. A

I made the fig and aniseed quickbread on Weds - it turned out really professional looking! The glaze really made a difference.
Though I didn't have any aniseed so I subbed it with orange zest... :D
Taste is nice - the apricot glaze gives it a nice tang!

Should be fine. I would think it would have been done that way for ease of mixing.
