yes veggie-o.Fairly recently I have seen both canned and preserved in jars cherries particularly at Countdown although quite some time ago I also saw some at one of our Pak n Save supermarkets.:-))

Edited to add the following information from Countdown's website ( http://shop.countdown.co.nz ). Delmaine Cherries $6.99 / 680g jar Select Cherries $4.45 / 425g can

The tinned are much nicer than the bottled cherries, better colour and flavour
