That photo is of Luisa plums which are not quite ripe,.Their skins do turn red when completely ripe and ours are huge, so Luisa might be the variety you're looking for.Luisas are very fragrant and slip-stone.

Could be burbank! We have a tree and get huge ones most years- not many, but huge.

Fortune do go darker than the ones pictured korbo.
