Ooooh, lucky you!

buzzy110, Sep 23, 3:46am
Yes samanya, you are now an official, bona fide, poster, with special, unerring superpowers to identify the worthy and give advice to those less streetwise. Congratulations.

Thank you .I think.
If your description is what it's all about .I might pass.
I don't have any super powers .& I know it.

buzzy110, Sep 23, 4:14am
In my un-authentic marmalade don't just use the miserable 6 - 8 grapefruit that they tell you to in the recipe. Use the whole bucket while keeping the rest of the recipe the same. Yum.

buzzy110, Sep 23, 4:15am
See my smiley face. Take it at face value.

sossie1, Sep 23, 4:21am
Samanaya, coudl you please tell me what the bloody hell you did to get this attention!

samanya, Sep 23, 5:10am
Cos I'm amazing!
Eat ya heart out that I'm so honoured!

That chocolate cherry slice sounds amazing, cookessentials - how badly does it need the Kremelta! Not a big Kremelta fan here.

Also I award (unilaterally) Honorary Membership of the Impurist Cooks Guild to the ladies who devised and presented Food in a Minute on TV1. From Alison Giftig to the present Queen Tinpacket. They've really caught the spirit and the essence of True Inauthenticity.Brava!A big bronzed packet of Quikeze on a plinth to them both.

sossie1, Sep 23, 5:46am
Thank you for bringing the thread back to normal.

(send a packet of choc chip cookes your way)

elliehen, Sep 23, 5:57am
valentino, thanks!

The idea of using the eggy base like a pizza base is inspired.

elliehen, Sep 23, 6:13am
So pleased you remember this, although your memory might be a little faulty because at the time you rubbished the idea (of taking condensed milk for billy tea on a tramping trip)! Are you now a Believer!

I thought that the one requirement for posting a recipe or a hint in this thread was that the poster personally believed it was OK ;)

hestia, Sep 23, 6:36am
Once I made a cheesecake, and instead of using butter for the biscuit base, Iused white chocolate. It was yummy!

buzzy110, Sep 23, 6:41am
I didn't read that requirement anywhere. Actually, as I loathe tea, cocoa and milo and drink my coffee black I really couldn't say whether I endorsed the idea or not. I was just trying to give you the credit for inventing a truly original, un-authentic recipe seeing as you had forgotten about it yourself.

Certainly a little trip onto the tussock grass would add to its authenticity. And we didn't actually rubbish it so much and include it in the general hilarity of the thread, suggesting that kirinesha might want to take a tin to Italy with her to ensure she could make a wonderful brew with it - if you remember rightly that is.

winnie231, Sep 23, 6:54am
Ooh yum . that reminds me of coffee in south east asia where it is the norm for it to be made with sweetened condensed milk. I might be a trained barista but damn it tasted good when I was there. I wonder if it counts as authentic (as it was the norm) or unauthentic (as it's not what we have here) .!

sossie1, Sep 23, 6:55am
i think they do this is India. is that sth east asia! my geography is crap

elliehen, Sep 23, 7:00am
Looks to me as though the invitation is to post the unauthentic recipes you make and enjoy.not re-start the battle against so-called 'authentic' all over again.

sossie1, Sep 23, 7:02am
I know, yaaaaawn

goes back to slurping cheap red.

samanya, Sep 23, 7:04am
Now that's an unauthentic recipe I could really like & it would work with dark choccie too!
I have a lovely lime filling recipe from here & have started drooling at the thought - dark choc & lime .oh yummy!

holly-rocks, Sep 23, 7:07am
I had a simular coffee ( and tea)IN SE Asia tooo! It was so good. Was in this tiny dark little cafe where all the old timer locals hanged out :)

sossie1, Sep 23, 7:23am
My sincerest apologies for saying BLOODY HELL, I have just been informed I have a foul mouth.

edited to say not from TM, apparently I have made an "enemy:, which was not my intention,

So I am changing it to BOLLOCKS, which I believe are a delicacy in some circles

elliehen, Sep 23, 7:27am
