Leftover chicken safety question!

I cooked roast chicken on Wednesday night and it was refrigerated immediately after serving. Would it be safe to use in soup today!

Yes I would use it but I know some on here would not.

I'm pretty fussy about leftover food and I would still use it today. Today would be my absolute limit though.

OK - thanks all. I have a pretty cast-iron constitution but I don't want to poison my husband! So - I take that to mean that it has to be cooked and eaten today and not frozen for down the track!

I don't see why you couldn't freeze it if you were going to cook it very hot when it was thawed for eating later.

Of course it would - but anything to do with "safety" makes me cringe nowadays .
