I just dice them up and cook with the leaves. Always serve silver beet with a drizzle of malt vinegar. nice, nice!

Sounds like me, love them now just mixed in. I put them in the bottom of the saucepan the greens on top. I also mix a little mint sauce and butter through before serving. I pick out most of the whites for myself, my husband gets most of the greens. Works well.

I grow my own most of the year, so biff the stalks with a clear conscience.Silver beet is one of the few veg that are really really cheap to grow - a dozen plants just keep chugging on for most of the year.
