I just use cider vinegar, mustard, salt and pepper, with very little oil. mix and toss your salad, rather than pour the dressing over. I keep meaning to make up something more like what you buy, but forget to getting the one ingredient I don't have in my cupboard. I am off out soon, maybe I will go get it today.
