Where Would We Be Without Condensed Milk?

Well, as far as I can tell my sense of humour is still in good working order and the only thing likely to make me lose it is someone else helping themselves to my share of reduced cream and onion soup dip or my stash of condensed milk. Hooray, I obviously qualify for membership ! Now, where do I sign ?

griffo4, Jan 2, 12:13am
Keep it up l come in here each day for my laugh, CM is a good tonic all round

uli, Jan 2, 12:20am
I think you've got that wrong my dear - I am the rude one - not the reprimanding one...
However davidt4 may just try to keep up with the task of being even ruder than me - a honour which has been bestowed to davidt4 recently LOL :)

davidt4, Jan 2, 12:20am
Please... please... anything but Mr Cheese... Tell you what:I'll spend all day watering, weeding, cleaning and cooking vegetables. Will that do?

uli, Jan 2, 12:28am
Nah - of course not - cause you'd ENJOY that ...

buzzy110, Jan 2, 12:30am
Nah. I spend all day doing that and I think it is an honour. No I stick to my original punishment unless, of course you can plead mitigating circumstances. Maybe if you were to make up kirineshia's chocolate, tofu and cm pudding in post #120 and invite your best friends around to eat it, we may consider a lesser sentence of just one tin of cm and force you to become constipated for a day instead.

davidt4, Jan 2, 12:39am
I blame this all on Allyson Gofton. It was her potato pom pom shepherd's pie that got me all excited. And I nearly suggested "bumpkin" instead of "yokel" but thought it would be unkind to bumpkins.

buzzy110, Jan 2, 12:50am
We have taken a vote and think that Allyson Gofton and the excitement generated by potato pom pom shepherd's pie can be considered a mitigating circumstance. We are also rather pleased you did not make unkind and cruel comments about our nearest relations, the Country Bumpkins. Their guild is on the same level as that of the Village Idiots and sometimes VI's and CB's have been known to belong to both Unions or Guilds, as we now prefer to be called.

We hereby reduce your sentence to just feeding your friends the chocolate tofu pudding. We hereby release you from having to choose between all day constipation or all day looseness of the waste disposal unit and involuntary ejaculation from the intake vent.

davidt4, Jan 2, 12:55am
I thank you all from the bottom of my heart, if you'll pardon the rude word.

buzzy110, Jan 2, 4:11am
Rude word excused. However, you must carry out your sentence within 30 years or before the day of your 81st birthday, whichever comes first. And - we require photographic proof.

We are generously giving you this much time so you can replace the friends you are going to lose when they find out what you are going to make them eat.

kirinesha, Jan 2, 4:36am
Davidt4, you know when you make that chocolate tofu pudding with CM to share with your friends... well, I'm away that year.

indy95, Jan 2, 4:43am
Blast it, I've just realised I will be away too. Just when I was looking forward to a real treat !

davidt4, Jan 2, 4:55am
I'll save some for you all. It won't go off - only real food goes off...

indy95, Jan 2, 5:18am
Oh, wow, that's... ... . er... . . really very generous of you. I'm truly overwhelmed.

uli, Jan 2, 6:09am
... underwhelmed you wanted to say ...

waterlilies, Jan 2, 7:31am
Ohhh far out (too scared to type shit) this has to be the funniest thing I have read in recipes.
Please please please do not put me in the perfect box, you can't anyway cos I asked about canned crab meat so I really fail in the perfection stakes.
I agree that we have been getting nastier but I think it's just that time of year, it's good to laugh and this thread has had me peeing myself.
P. S. My Mum has SCM on crushed weetbix. I shall tell her to add tinned pineapple and maybe even spam.

indy95, Jan 2, 9:23pm
Yes, Uli, I fear I may have got it wrong and you are actually " the rude one ". Manners !

buzzy110, Jan 2, 9:54pm
Spam. What an excellent accompaniment to weetbix and CM. An excellent brunch dish even if I say so myself. Cereal, protein and sweet in on easy dish. Fanatastic. I congratulate you on your inspiration and imagination waterlilies. You leave us other Village Idiots eating your dust.

uli, Jan 3, 1:05am
Now - I have seen lots - BUT what is "225 g morning coffee biscuits " ... .
NOW - That made me leave this board puzzled ...

elliehen, Jan 3, 1:33am
Possibly a 225 gram packet of a plain Australian biscuit similar to a wine biscuit? ?

buzzy110, Jan 3, 2:01am
Or, conversely this could be an American recipe so the "morning coffee biscuits" could be what we call scones. It is very much up to individual tastes.

I wonder if Americans have condensed milk? If they have, I think it must be, like in NZ, the most popular, but-never-spoken-about ingredient in the kitchen of any American woman who can cook. There must be at least 2 dozen housewives who can cook in every State at least.

davidt4, Jan 3, 2:39am
This could be my big chance... I believe that morning coffee biscuits are almost certainly lemonade scones made with SCM instead of cream. Very excited.

buzzy110, Jan 3, 2:43am
Can't stop laughing. I am in tears.
