First time using FONDANT ICING

using cooking oil spray on your work surface and your rolling pin to stop the fondant from sticking. - if its a bit too firm - you can nuke it for 10 seconds to make it easier to knead - great for if you are wanting to colour it. If you want to model figures you can add a teaspoon of tylose powder to the fondant and knead it through and it will help the figure dry firmer. Tylose and hot water (50/50) make a good glue. Water works as well - but i prefer the mix.
if the fondant is getting too gluggy and wet you can just knead in more icing sugar.
You can use a ball of fondant to smooth it once its laid on your cake.
