I would be so lost with out my slow cooker I use it several times a week at this time of the year

I have the small GF one and its good, they do cook hot though so you may have to just check every now and then especially if you are used to one that you cook all day long in... and use it on auto rather than anything else.. that starts out 1 hour on high then comes down to low for the remainder, that way you wont dry anything out.

great buy.jennie5963. I keep my eye open for them at garage sales. beaker59.but so far I have not been lucky. I just missed out on a Panasonic bread maker the other day, thought of a low tackle, even lol.

was in the red shed today and they have an 8 litre one for $69.00 mine is a 6.5 breville but I always make extra for my daughter and grandkids to enjoy too...I am thinking I might go get the bigger one

The one I purchased from TM is a Breville Banquet Maker - has 3 temp settings and cooks hot. I thoroughly recommend it - it much better than my old Russell Hobbs.

I got a new one recently with my flybuys points - it's a George Foreman but I haven't used it yet so can't tell you whether it's as good as the one which died a while back or not.

My brother uses a baking bag inside his bowl because he too has a cracked bowl and that seems to work really well.So I guess using a baking bag is cheaper than a new bowl or unit!Cheers

Has anyone ever bought a replacement bowl?Where from and how much?Cheers

prawn_whiskas, May 8, 9:42pm
I know you can buy replacement liners for the sunbeam slow cooker, they are made in Temuka and cost about 2x the price of buying a whole new replacement unit.I don't see any point in just buying a new liner unless you can pick one up for nothing off here or at a garage sale.

Its crock pot/Slow cooker season at the moment and all the shops are having wars on prices.

they've got slow cookers on special at Countdown this week, $60 but it's not a well known brand, can't remember what it is.I'll have to check in the specials leaflet if I can find it.Also Mitre 10 have them at about the same price. They are different sizes though, one is 6.5 litres, the other 5 (I think)
