I still have an original Australian "Crockpot" from 1983...well before anyonne here had ever heard of them. Still going strong after 27 years. It is certainly not as large as the ones you get here now, however, it is big enough to do my ham hock and vege soup. corned beef, casseroles and the like. It is basic...just a high and a low dial, a ceramic interior and a glass lid. If I ever had to replace it, I would look at the Breville "Banquet" or have a look in Aussie to see what they have on offer.
