Bowd yes please

melford, Nov 25, 10:34pm
I see herika has had a field day with my post about arnotts rice crackers - once again I think she is overreacting! They have 0.002 mg PER 3 Biscuits. Since I am continuously having my hand smacked by the "guru" of gluten free eating i won't be contributing to this thread anymore. I will just leave it to herika "the expert"

herika, Nov 26, 12:24am
Unfortunately there are people that do react badly to such small amounts of gluten. That is not my fault.I think it is important that people, especially people new to the gluten free diet, know about things such as this then they can make their own decisions and choices. After that its up to them what they do and dont eat, but at least they know. :)

herika, Nov 26, 7:27am
I have posted the website in the *Gluten Free Hints and Tips Thread* :)

melford, Nov 27, 1:23am
thank you for the support. I am frustrated by herikas obsession with the gluten free diet (she may need to be for her own health) but she has set herself up as an unqualified expert on this subject - she is not even coeliac (far more severe than someone who is gluten intolerant), and indeed she was diagnosed by a medical herbalist not a medical specialist. She makes rash statements eg buckwheat causes da da de da in some people, msg is bad for you etc, in fact most of her posts condemn any food that is mentioned by other posters. My information from the hospital is that they are perfectly okay. I am concerned that her posts may cause unecessary concern in many people and will restrict their diet even more.

briz12, Nov 27, 1:55am
Whistle! I saw on the previous page a pst that mentioned getting a subsidy from Winz for help with food, can u please explain this more! Also, i am still to go to a specialist after having been on his semi urgent waiting list since july. is there any other way of getting a prescription through pharmacy for GF pasta and rice flour!

Also just a personal question: is there anyone else out there who is either gluten intolerent or coeliac who suffers from the defieciencies of iron and b12 and also had problems at the beginning with urinary tract infections!

herika, Nov 27, 2:45am
sorry Im not going to answer your questions - even though I could, because of a previous poster who will criticize and put me down personally even though my posts have helped others similar to myself (she doesnt seem to notice the positive things I mention) :)

briz12, Nov 27, 2:52am
. Thats fine, i dont wanna come in the middle of this

herika, Nov 27, 2:58am
p.s. if anyone notices that I have posted something that is incorrect Im happy for it to be pointed out to me and I will apologise and stand corrected :)

maxamissy, Nov 27, 6:59pm
hell yeah on the low levels thats actually a sign of a food intolerance having low levels of iron especially and especially if you can't bring them up. what happens is you have these little fingers that absorb nutrients from your food. when you eat something your body doesnt like the fingers get inflammed and swollen and cant absorb any of the good stuff all that energy from food gone! also on the end of those fingers is where the digestive enzyme is created to digest dairy so therfore you make the dairy tolerance problem worse to! probiotics ( dairy free if needed) and also slippery elm help grow them back. fantastic stuff to help you feel better faster. also aloe vera juice ( good quality) will help line the tummy and bring down bloating. also do a parasite cleanse as in a stufy they conducted over 50% of irritable bowel sufferers had parasites. you can do this with malcom harkers verm expel. always good to detox to. you can have up to 7kgs of meat still sitting there!

maxamissy, Nov 27, 7:01pm
im waiting to detox as my body is going through withdrawls from sugar and caffeine my legs ache like crazy normally the 3rd and 4th day is the worst that was definitley that case with me. ( for those who dot know im dairy free sugar free caffeine free and gluten free not forever though !)

whistle, Nov 27, 7:01pm
claiming costs go to your doctorget a medical reportstating u have it then with a list of difference of costs take that to winz. example cost of ord, bread then cost of gluten free bread and other food

whistle, Nov 27, 7:05pm
britz22 wife has it to needs b12 injections .started off weekley now every month.

pommyjohn1, Nov 27, 7:20pm
britz Re prescription for gluten free pasta and flour, I get all mine on prescription but find that the difference in cost is now negligeable.Often I find that the supermarket Simple brand is less than I pay at the chemist.
Once the B12 levels are established the injections should drop ,I'm on 3 monthly which is no prob.

earthangel4, Nov 27, 8:31pm
