What is the name of that cafe please! Cottage cafe on brown's bay do an almost full GF menu, but not many other places out there have too much to offer, and now with Marx bakery having shutdown there is very little in the way of bakery/cafe style treats around : (

Trying to think of name.Street behind Huckleberry's in Greenlane. Side street. Back entrance road of The old National Womens Hosp.
Another VERY good one is The Library Cafe. Very good meals & nice for a cuppa & slice. I would go there as it is nicer & bigger & lovely setting. :-)

Gluten Free Chocolate slice - really yummy
I cup Orgran SR Gluten free flour
1 cup dessicated coconut
1 cup brown sugar
125 gm butter
Place dry ingredients in a bowl then add the melted butter and pour into a sprayed 18cm x28 cm tin. Flatten the mixture out by pressing down hard with your hands. Bake 10 minutes at 180 C.
Meanwhile melt 2 tins sweetened condensed milk in a pan with 60 gms butter and 4 tablespoons golden syrup. Spread on top of cooked hot base and return to the oven for a further 10 minutes. Now melt 1 375 gm milk chocolate melts with 2 tbsp butter and then spread over the slice. Cut while warm. Absolutely delicious - enjoy!

yep just done research and oats are safe for Celiac people, woohoo
Poridge for breakfast in the morning, and coffee gives heatburn as well as acid fruits,I have not had any coffee since tuesday,so could be still acting on me.

earthangel4, Mar 13, 2:22am
also Celiac people suffer with heartburn, may not be all people,
Just done big research and the breadcrumbs I had for a receipe was not glutenfree,I had bought the wrong ones, they had mixed them up in the supermarket shelves, this is an over look on there part,as I went to the glutenfree section.

earthangel4, Mar 13, 3:51am
Just rang the supermarket, and told them, they were really nice about it and were going to look into it.
The reason I rang is I didn,t want anyone else to suffer, but they would proberly look,I was in too much of a hurry to get home and get washing off line before it rained

earthangel4, Mar 13, 5:24am
Motorbo I also going to do heaps of apple stewing and then going to freeze,as much fruit as I can,I have also cooked a weeks brown rice, going to have it with almonds and walnuts and cream.
