nanof5 - I've transferred some of the condensed milk recipes to a thread titled 'Baking with condensed milk' in answer to a request from -minty-. You might be able to find what you're looking for there - after you've got through the first few posts of argy-bargy ;)

This recipe is very close to a Rocky Road slice You need:
200 grams white marshmallows
1 tablespoon water
90 grams unsalted butter.
200 grams dark chocolate.
125 grams plain sweet biscuits, roughly chopped.
Half cup glace cherries.
Half cup roasted hazelnuts, or nut of your choice.
200 grams dark chocolate, extra.
60 grams unsalted butter, extra.
Method:
Combine marshmallows, water and butter in a large saucepan. Stir over low heat until marshmallows are melted. Remove from heat and add chocolate, stir till melted. Add remaining ingredients and stir till all ingredients are combined.
Line 2 bar tins, 8cm by 26cm, with foil to extend over the sides of tins. Spread mixture evenly into pan. Be careful not to crush biscuits. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Melt extra chocolate and butter but being careful not to boil. It's best to do this in a double boiler. Spread mixture over slice. Refrigerate for at least another hour. Remove slices from pans, peel away foil and slice carefully. NOTE: This is "very rich" and great with coffee :)

Peppermint Slice 12 peppermints (oddfellows) 1 Pkt Choc Slims ¼ to ½ can condensed milk Crush peppermints and biscuits then add condensed milk, refrigerate to set, ice with choc icing, sprinkle with choc hail. Can be rolled into balls and covered in coconut or choc hail, after firming in the fridge Lite con milk is fine, and if you double it, it should be a full pkt of mints from memory, can use Jaffa Thins. AND yes NO Butter

justme27, Apr 21, 11:48pm
mmmmm... ... that sounds yummy timturtle - what would be the easiest way to crush those hard Oddfellows?

timturtle, Apr 22, 12:58am
think i used a rolling pin, they are hard to smash, could use a hammer with the mints in a plastic bag

#46. Apricot Slice. obic, can you please tell me if the yoghurt used is thick or runny. Which brand?

jenna68, Apr 23, 6:52pm
pamlilah... I made you Apricot slice yesterday but adapted it because I didn't have apricots lol - I doubled it and used dried mixed fruit of all descriptions and then I iced it with a thin layer of plain white icing and it was a great hit so thanks :o)
