How much BP do I add to a cup of normal flour to make it the same?

julzmilton, IMO the amount of baking powder you'd need to use can depend on what you're making as opinions do vary as to whether it should be 1 tsp, 1½ tsp or 2 tsp baking powder to 1 cup flour so it's really your choice; however I recommend that if you're making scones or similar that you definitely use 2 tsp baking powder, otherwise if you're uncertain maybe you'd like to split the difference and use 1½ tsp baking powder to 1 cup flour.

I have always used 1 teaspoon per cup of flour.

I always use two tsps baking powder to 1 cup flour and I never buy self raising flour.My baking always turns out well.I also only use High Grade flour for all my baking.

all of you guys are wrong, it's 1 3/4 teaspoon to 1 cup of flour.
