Bread cases - soggy bottoms

I want to make some for a picnic tonight but am wondering how to do it so they don't end up with soggy bottoms. Should I prebake the bread first & then add the filling? Also what is the best way to do a filling - a cheese type sauce and then put in some red onion, etc, or a whisked egg & milk with bits & pieces - any ideas would be great - thanks :)

never had them soggy just put marg on the bit that sits in patty tin and cook with whatever contents in it and get out once take out of oven rather than leaving it sitting

Hey, i bake the cases first, then add fillings and reheat. Try sweetcorn and bacon, mushroom and bacon, smoked fish, asparagus (cheese sauce), seafood (white sauce).
