don't often buy these for my breadmaker, and thought i would try some. They have all ended up on the lawn for the birds. I follow the instructions to a T, small loaf and really dense. One I could not cut with the sharpest knife in the house. anyone have success??? oh well, back to my tried and true recipes.

I use their mixes all the time as I am a bit lazy to get all the ingredients together lol. I do a half and half mix of wholemeal and country grain which works out well. My breadmaker makes a 1kg loaf - I put in 1.5 cups of hot water; 4 cups of bread mix (so 2 cups of each) and 2 tsp yeast.I always level off the cups of breadmix so they are exact. I put the machine on wholemeal with a light crust and let it go for the almost 4 hours and the bread comes out fine.

Sounds to me like your recipe needs more water and either more yeast or longer proving. Also some grains need a long soak in water before making into bread though more water and longer proving can sort that out too.
