Trim the rind off the bacon and fry the bacon for a few minutes to draw off the fat.Drain and cut the bacon into 3cm length pieces.Cut the steak into even-sized pieces and put the steak and bacon into an ovenproof dish. Mix the remaining ingredients together until smooth, then pour the mixture over the meats.Cover the dish. Bake at160°Cfor2-2½ hours or until the steak is tender.:-))

I slice this steak thinly marinate with garlic ginger [ crushed or grated] and soya sauce leave overnight the longer the betterso nice and tender cook on the barbeque orin a pan can have it with onions mushrooms new potatoes pumpkinsalad.

nor2 ... I was not sure either it must be when you marinate the meat sort of tenderises it i was a bit worried at first using this cut of meat but it seems to work.
