Homedelivery catering for family dinners?

solobabe, Oct 28, 2:09am
Thought you foodies might be able to help me out with this one.

Hubby is overseas and his work have suggested i get dinner catered a couple of times a week to help out.

Can anyone suggest a company that just does home dinners?

You mean someone will bring you and the kids dinner round or cook it for you? Might be an idea to check yellow pages - or give us an idea where you live.

Maybe ask what exactly they want to pay for. There are deliveries from restaurants and also pre cooked frozen microwave dinners available in Auckland.

Why do you need catered family meals because your husband is away overseas?

I would imagine to treat her and make up for taking the other part of the "husband & wife" team out of the equation in the evenings. What a lovely gesture for her husbands company to think of.I had a friend who always mows the lawns but her husbands company paid for them to be done while he was away.. as a thank you.

Because she will have her husband's share of the domestic chores to do while he is away on company business and they are trying to compensate for some of this.I would have been so grateful for consideration like that in the three preschooler (including dynamite twin boys), demanding job of my own days! Not a question of being unable to cope - just a bit of a break.

toadfish and greerg, I never thought of it like that. Yes. It is a very kind and generous gesture on behalf of her husband's company.

Probably easier just popping into a restaurant and getting some takeaway food

wow.. nice gesture from the company!! Nice to see a company taking care of the 'home front'.Happy family here in NZ means Mr can get on and do what he needs to do without worrying about things back home.

I would imagine there are lots of choices out there once you start looking, depending on what you want to eat....
