One incident I've seen is when the pastry chef test tempered chocolate with his upper lips. The thing was, he had a bushy moustache hence the choc formed a spider web on his face before dropping back into the choc. Well.. I guess if anyone got food poisoning, hardly anyone will blames the dessert.

I never used a spoon, my finger, didn't hold as much as a spoon.

The worse I ever did was make a garnish using two large pickled onions a nice big gherkin chopped in half, some alfalfa sprouts and a drizzle of mayo. The other half of the gherkin was placed at the base of the erect half.
